Potes is the ideal destination for lovers of the countryside and adventure, located approximately an hour's drive from our hotel (about 70 minutes). After passing through the spectacular Hermida Gorge, you will find an enclave of wonderful landscapes that serves as the main base for exploring the Picos de Europa.

Its medieval streets invite you to stroll among its stone bridges and historic towers, notably the Torre del Infantado and the Torre del Orejón de la Lama.

Gastronomically, it is one of the most important enclaves in Cantabria. The star dish is cocido Lebaniego (Lebaniego stew), although you can also savour delicious sausages, artisan cheeses and desserts such as canónigos (lamb's lettuce). In addition, orujo (grape pomace brandy) and tostadillo (a type of sweet bread) are made artisanally in this area, and it is possible to visit the wineries to learn about their production process.

Potes is an idyllic place for active tourism, perfect for hiking, climbing or mountain biking. From here, it is easy to reach Fuente Dé and its cable car to ascend to the most spectacular peaks.
